A caption is a short text above or below an image in a book, magazine, or newspaper that describes the image or explains what the person in it did or said. Function of Caption : Captions have a social function, namely to provide basic information about an object. Caption writing structure : Opening :   The opening is usually written in a larger size to attract the attention of the reader. Content :   Content (content) contains concise information to explain the image. Closing :   The closing part is usually in the form of additional information that has not been conveyed in the content.
